Description/Interesting Notes:
A very rare example of this highly sought after silver-bearing species from the type locality!!! This specimen
is perhaps one of the
richest examples of this very rare species that I have seen!!! This specimen is loaded with significant,
metallic grains of silvery uchucchacuaite to over 5mm in matrix!!! There is a dense network of interconnected masses that occupies a
significant portion of the specimen!!! In addition to the masses of uchucchacuaite, there are some scattered submillimeter
prismatic crystals embedded in the matrix!!! Confirmed examples of uchucchacuaite are extremely
rare, and a friend of ours made a very small find of this material (one small nodule of old
material) last year and we were able to acquire one of the last significant examples
of this material remaining (this specimen was slated to be smashed into lots of tiny
specimens, as many rare and valuable species are!)!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
