Uraninite with Albite & Biotite Topsham, Sagadahoc Co., Maine 5.2cm x 2.74cm x 1.9cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A classic, old time example of uraninite from Maine!!! This specimen hosts a sharp, lustrous, undamaged crystal of jet-black uraninite prominently perched on an albite matrix in association with darkly colored biotite mica!!! The uraninite crystal has sharp faces and exhibits a complexly modified cubo-octahedral form!!! The crystal is complete and undamaged all around!!! Upon close inspection one can see some complex features on the crystal's faces and the back side of the crystal has some concentric features with a thin partial coating of biotite mica!!! Very handsome in person!!! Classic material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
