Description/Interesting Notes: A classic example of uraninite from Maine!!! This specimen is a highly complex single crystal of uraninite!!! The crystal has characteristic jet-black color with complex, lustrous faces!!! The crystal has a peculiar, skewed tabular habit that is actually slightly concave on one side and very slightly convex on the other - you can almost visuallize the habit as a very compressed, coiled spring!!!
