Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic, old time example of uvarovite garnet from California!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of brilliant, intense green crystals of uvarovite garnet on both sides!!! The uvarovite crystals are razor sharp, gemmy, and have incredible, intense emerald green color!!! The crystals are appreciably sized and have a gemminess you simply don't see in uvarovite specimens from other localities!!! There are also several areas of translucent gray-purple chromian clinochlore (kammererite) present as compressed crystals and massive material on the matrix as well!!! Rare California material!!!
