Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely extraordinary example of this rare and sought after garnet species!!! This specimen hosts a pair of incredible uvarovite garnet crystals that measure 1.6cm EACH prominently perched on a small amount of matrix!!! The crystals are absolutely pristine all around with no damage whatsoever!!! The crystals have complex, brilliantly lustrous faces and characteristic INTENSE emerald green color!!! The color is way better than the pics show!!! This specimen is very dramatic and showy in person!!! The quality of the crystals is just extraordinary - as so many of these specimens show damage from being removed or etched from matrix, however this is clearly one of those rare examples where the crystals were naturally exposed!!! To have not just one, but TWO crystals that measure 1.6cm is just incredible as well!!! This is OLD, classic material!!!
