Vanadinite with Descloizite Turning Point Mine, Tohono O'odham Indian Reservation, Pinal Co., Arizona 3.1cm x 1.83cm x 1.35cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of vanadinite from this old, seldom represented Arizona locality!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of complex, intensely colored crystals of vanadinite accented by tiny blades of lustrous amber colored descloizite!!! The crystals exhibit a whole range of color from bright yellow to orange to red!!! The vanadinite crystals exhibit all manner of complex habits ranging from the typical hexagonal prisms to highly complex compound crystals with curious etching!!! Upon close inspection the descloizite crystals can be seen to be quite gemmy and bright!!! This is RARE, old time material that came out of an old collection!!! This material dates to prior to WWII!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
