Description/Interesting Notes:
An exceptional example of this rare species from the Congo!!! This is a significant example of the species!!! This specimen
hosts a broad face that is LOADED with sharp, lustrous deep green crystals of vandenbrandeite!!! The vandenbrandeite crystals
are well formed and in aesthetic association with some lively green, velvety malachite!!! The matrix is comprised of a
mixture of various copper and uranium bearing species with some microcrystals of other unidentified species scattered here ant there as well!!!
The individual vandenbrandeite crystals range in size up to 3mm, with compound sheaves and radiating bundles being larger!!! This is an incredibly rich example of the species!!! This specimen
retains a French label from the Sorbonne and an additional label noting that it was collected in the 1950's!!!
This is a significant, and valuable, example of this very rare species!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
