Variscite with Wardite & Crandallite Little Green Monster Variscite Mine, Clay Canyon, Fairfield, Oquirrh Mts, Utah Co., Utah 11cm x 8cm x 3.95cm Ex. Lazard Cahn (1865-1940)

Description/Interesting Notes: A classic example of variscite with wardite and crandallite from this classic Utah locality!!! This specimen consists of a large nodule of variscite with wardite and crandallite that has been polished to a brilliant luster on one side!!! This specimen hosts a large mass of lively green variscite in aesthetic association with concentric bands of translucent blue-green wardite and yellowish crandallite!!! The specimen shows an attractive variety of patterns and hues that is quite striking in person!!! The wardite is quite significant and showy indeed!!! Upon close inspection, there are some vugs (especially on the reverse) where microcrystals of crandallite (and possibly other species) can be seen as well!!! This is old material and retains an old label from famed dealer Lazard Cahn as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
