Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of this rare species from Italy!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of highly complex vaterite crystals on matrix!!! The crystals have overall tabular form with highly complex features upon close inspection!!! The specimen is complete and in fantastic condition all around!!! It is difficult to appreciate just how complex these crystals are from the pics!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or a scope the crystals have numerous very unusual and peculiar growth features!!! The crystals have a unique luster and are much more lustrous than the pics show as well!!! There are some very interesting microcrystals present as well!!! Simply a magnificent example of this rare species!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer!!!
