Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic, old time example of vesuvianite from Mexico!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of large, complex, blocky crystals of golden yellow vesuvianite in association with small, colorless to gray grossular crystals!!! The vesuvianite crystals have many complex surfaces and modifications!!! The vesuvianite crystals have glassy luster, translucent clarity, and rich golden yellow color!!! The grossular crystals are complex and most are heavily included, however those areas that are not included actually reveal that the grossular crystals are colorless - which is quite uncommon!!! A very handsome old timer indeed!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
