Description/Interesting Notes:
An absolutely magnificent example of veszelyite from this rare and unusual Japanese locality!!! This specimen comes from a very unusual small
find made back in the 1970's!!! What made the locality so unusual was that it was not a copper mine - or a mine at all, but rather a quarry for
road fill and gravel!!! It was just a very small find and very few specimens were ever recovered, with the great majority being micros - essentially
just locality reference specimens!!! There were very few specimens of any size or aesthetics and this specimen represents what is a truly exceptional
specimen for the locality!!! This specimen consists of almost entirely of solid veszeylite!!! The color is absolutely gorgeous in person!!!
The crystals are much better than the pics show - there are highly complex groups of intergrown compound crystals, sprays, sheaths, and
curiously curvaceous forms!!! The specimen is almost entirely covered with crystals with well defined groups of compound crystals that
measure up to 8mm+!!! This is one of those rare specimens you will likely never see again!!!
The pictures don't even come close to doing it justice!!! The crystallization, quality, and
color are all better than the pics show!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY APRIL 19th!!!
