Description/Interesting Notes:
A colorful example of this rare and sought after species from Montana!!! This specimen consists of gemmy, intense blue
veszelyite crystals in association with a thin coating of green chrysocolla and a second generation of smaller bright
blue vezelyite crystals on a stout, quartz crystal matrix!!! The larger vezelyite crystals formed prior to the the chyrsocolla
and upon close inspection one can see that there are still numerous areas where veszelyite trapped underneath a thin, translucent
layer of chrysocolla!!! The numerous larger vezelyite crystals that are exposed however, have wonderful luster and quality since they have
been protected for so long under a blanket of chrysocolla!!! The second generation of vezselyite crystals formed on top of
the chrysocolla and consist of small but sharp, equant crystals that exhibit a dramatically brighter color!!! The combination of
lively colors and forms is really quite striking in person!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer!!! We just acquired the 6000+ specimen PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer
