Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of vivianite from New Jersey!!! This specimen consists of a fossilized belemnite that has been completely
replaced by crystalline vivianite!!! The overwhelming majority of these specimens are comprised of what
is essentially almost massive vivianite with very poor crystallization - however this specimen hosts some the the finest vivianite crystals
I have ever seen from this obscure locality!! This specimen is loaded with prominent, undamaged crystals of vivianite!!! The
crystals are sharp, lustrous, and complete!!! The crystals are MUCH more three dimensional than they appear in the pics - consisting of
juxtaposed blades jutting out in all angles!!! The crystals have marked clarity and show flashes of blues and greens as well!!! This is a KILLER
example of the species for the locality!!! This specimen came from some old stock material from the University of Delaware and
retains a handwritten label noting that it had come from "C. Miller"!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JULY 21st!!!
