Description/Interesting Notes:
An absolutely incredible example of BLUE wavellite from a small new find in Arkansas!!! This specimen is from a tiny
single pocket that produced a handful of uniquely colored wavellite crystals!!! The crystals from this
find exhibited a variety of unique hues, however this specimen exhibits a truly unique - and showy - range of colors!!! This specimen
exhibits several striking colors in sharply defined zones and layers!!! These amazing wavellite crystals have cores of intense lime green followed
by distinct zones of an almost lavender-blue and terminating in zones of blue green!!! The pictures speak for themeselves!!!
Additionally, this specimen actually exhibits a significant color change depending on the lighting!!! In sunlight or full
spectrum fluorescent lighting the specimen exhibits a dramatic shift to more greener colors, while incandescent lighting brings out the
blue and lavender colors much more dramatically!!! The color is unlike anything else I have ever
seen in the mineral kingdom!!! This
specimen is in fantastic condition with highly lustrous crystals that show marked translucence as well!!! These rare blue
wavellites are no doubt going to be a highly sought after one time find!!! You don't want to miss out on this rare opportunity!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
