Weloganite Francon quarry, Montréal, Québec, Canada 2.02cm x 1.22cm x 1.08cm Ex. Dr. F. P. D'Esopo Collection No. 1447

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of this rare species from the type locality in Canada!!! This specimen consists of a sharp single crystal of weloganite!!! The crystal is undamaged and completely terminated!!! The crystal has sharp faces with marked luster and translucence!!! The crystal has some complex surface features that, although they may look like damage, these are actually irregular areas that host some very clear areas of weloganite of opposing directions!!! This specimen is fantastic in person and displays magnificently!!! The bottom of the crystal is the only contacted area, aside from this the crystal is complete all around!!! This specimen is from the collection of Dr. F.P. D'Esopo and retains its original collection label as well!!! Dr. D'Esopo was a friend and protege of Bill Pinch and, under his tutelage amassed a truly significant species collection of impressive breadth and quality!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
