Description/Interesting Notes: A rare, old time example of willemite from Zambia!!! This specimen is almost entirely comprised of intergrown sprays of prismatic willemite crystals!!! The radiating groups of crystals create gorgeous concentric patterns and designs that are quite showy when seen under UV!!! There are numerous areas where there are exposed, colorless crystals present as well!!! These crystals are glassy, gemmy, and sharp!!! This specimen fluoresces an intense green under SW UV and also shows dramatic phosphorescence as well (it continues to glow after UV exposure!)!!! These old time acicular willemites from Zambia are quite scarce!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer!!!
