Willemite with Smithsonite Tsumeb, Namibia

Description/Interesting Notes:A terrific example of blue willemite from Tsumeb!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of sparkly blue translucent willemite in association with numerous tiny, sharp, gem-clear smithsonite crystals in association!!! The willemite has great color with glassy luster and terrific clarity!!! The smithsonite crystals are rather sharp and have a disc-like habit, they are also very gemmy and colorless - so much so that I first thought them to be cerussite or even calcite crystals at first (however subsequent study and testing ruled them out)!!! There are also some tiny balls of rosasite present as well!!! This specimen also fluoresces orange under LW UV and yellow-green under SW UV!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
