Description/Interesting Notes: A rare example of acicular willemite from Berg Aukus!!! This specimen hosts numerous significant groups of fine, acicular crystals of willemite!!! The crystals are near colorless and have gemmy clarity and bright glassy luster!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope, one can see that the crystals have sharply defined prismatic hexagonal form!!! The crystals show green fluorescence under UV and, interestingly, the different areas of crystals exhibit dramatically varying degrees of fluorescence!!! The crystals are quite long for an acicular willemite as well!!! Rare old time material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
