Description/Interesting Notes:
An absolutely INCREDIBLE old time pseudomorph from the historic Anarak district!!! Let me start off by saying that this specimen is WAY better
than the pictures show!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of large "trees" of descloizite that have been completely
replaced by sharp, lustrous crystals of willemite and accented by bright orange crystals of wulfenite and deep reddish orange
mimetite!!! The crystal forms and overall three-dimensionality of the specimen are much more pronounced and dramatic than
the pictures show!!! Upon close inspection, one can see that the willemite crystals are sharp and quite gemmy!!! The
wulfenite crystals have bright glassy luster, gemmy clarity, and intense orange color!!! The mimetite crystals range from
small spheroids to complex, slightly rounded crystals that exhibit dramatic reddish orange color!!! The
characteristic "Christmas tree-like" forms of the descloizite crystal pseudomorphs are nicely highlighted by the
associated species as well as inclusions within the willemite crystals that seem to selectively highlight
features of the original descloizite crystals!!! This specimen is MOSTLY comprised of finely crystallized
willemite!!! The willemite crystals fluoresce a characteristic yellow green under UV as well!!! This is a KILLER
example of this rare and unusual pseudomorph from this historic locality!!! These
specimens are very scarce indeed - you do not want to miss out on this rare and valuable specimen!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
