Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of crystalline willemite with friedelite crystals from Sterling Hill!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of sharp, prismatic crystals of willemite that are coated with rare crystalline friedelite!!! The willemite crystals are present as gemmy prismatic crystals with razor sharp faces and bright, glassy luster!!! The friedelite crystals are present as tiny but sharp, submillimeter crystals with translucent pinkish tan color!!! Friedelite is usually seen only as massive material with crystals being rather scarce!!! The matrix hosts a significant amount of massive willemite as well!!! The willemite fluoresces a very intense yellow-green under SW UV and also exhibits a very pronounced phosphorescence as well (meaning that it continues to glow for some time after exposure to SW UV!)!!!
