Description/Interesting Notes:
A classic example of blue willemite from Tsumeb!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of gemmy blue willemite crystals in
association with blue green rosasite intergrown with green malachite!!! The willemite crystals have bright, glassy luster and
gemmy clarity with handsome light blue color!!! The rosasite is present as blue green botryoidal forms as well as velveteen growths and
areas of massive rosasite intergrown with areas of green malachite!!! Upon close study, one can see that the
willemite crystals are significantly sized and sharply defined!!! Very handsome in person!!! (In addition, the willemite also
fluoresces a mild yellow under SW UV and, there are numerous areas of
microcrystalline calcite interspersed with the rosasite difficult to detect in the pics that also fluoresce a
lively orange under SW UV!!!)
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
