Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of willemite from Franklin!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of finely crystallized willemite in association
with several other species!!! The willemite is present as lustrous, light yellow, prismatic crystals as well as massive light yellow
veins and grains included throughout the matrix!!! The veins of crystalline willemite are outlined by dark gray nonfluorescent crystalline
material of unknown identity!!! There are numerous black grains of franklinite scattered about as well as some thin veins of massive pyrite!!!
There is an area that hosts a couple discrete crystals of willemite perched on top of translucent colorless crystals of an unknown nonfluorescent mineral
as well!!! There are also some platy, tan colored, linear groups of crystals in close association as well!!! The willemite
is intensely fluorescent and shows very pronounced phosphorescence as well!!! There is a small amount of massive, lightly colored
material that fluoresces a medium red as well!!! There is a LOT going on with this specimen and there is much more to
see in person!!! This specimen came from the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum and retains a label with E.W. Heinrich Collection notation as well!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MAY 3rd!!!
