Description/Interesting Notes: A historic, old time example of wulfenite from the type locality!!! This specimen is actually a very solid mass of intergrown wulfenite crystals that are fixed in place by a sort of concrete of microcrystalline wulfenite!!! This specimen retains an old label from the Cilen collection as well as an antique Macdonald label that notes the following, "Wulfenite, xld. From original find at Carinthia, Austria, Lord Calvert Collection, Xavier Wulfen described this mineral in 1785." Classic historic material with terrific provenance as well!!! STAY TUNED!!!
