Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of stolzite from Tsumeb!!! This specimen hosts a numerous crystals of rare stolzite on a
darkly colored matrix in association with a rich showing of tiny pyrite crystals!!! The stolzite crystals are sharp, lustrous, and gemmy with a
pale tan color!!! Although some of the crystals exhibit some complexly etched features, they are undamaged!!! The specimen is in fantastic
condition all around!!! This material is sometimes mistaken for wulfenite, however these stolzite specimens are very scarce by comparison!!!
The crystals range in size up to 1.5cm and is a fantastic example of the species indeed!!! What makes this specimen even more
impressive is that it hosts a significant showing of small pyrite crystals with a sparkly, brassy metallic luster!!! Despite
its impressive abundance and variety of mineral species, pyrite is relatively uncommon at Tsumeb!!! In addition, this specimen hosts
several small areas of an unidentified emerald green mineral!!! Upon close examination with a loupe or scope this material is quite unusual and resembles some
kind of amorphous glass!!! Rare material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY AUGUST 16th!!!
