Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific example of this rare species from Japan!!! This specimen hosts numerous dark orange-brown crystals of yoshimuraite in association with rhodonite and quartz!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or a scope, one can see numerous platy crystals of dark orange-brown yoshimuraite scattered about the matrix!!! It is difficult to appreciate in the pics, however this is a very good example of the species!!! This specimen came out of an old cache of specimens that came from the AMNH to a prominent New York area dealer years ago and retains a catalogued perky box as well!!!
