Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare example of crystalline zincite with gageite and pyrochroite from Franklin!!! This specimen hosts a significant showing of
intensely colored, complex crystals of gemmy translucent zincite in association with brownish microcrystals and crusts of
gageite as well as very well crystallized black pyrochrosite and an unidentified pink mineral present as complex, lustrous microcrystals and
small pink balls perched on the zincite and scattered about the specimen!!! This specimen is WAY better than the pics show - the
finely crystallized nature of the zincite was quite difficult to capture in the pics, as were the submillimeter hair-like microcrystals
of gageite and other associated species - however this specimen is simply fantastic under close inpsection!!! This specimen is
from the collection of well known Franklin collector Gary Grenier!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MAY 3rd!!!
