An absolutely fantastic example of crystalline zincite from Franklin!!! This specimen consists of a matrix of black franklinite and whitish willemite that
hosts a stunning pairing of gemmy crystals of zincite in association with rare pink hodgkinsonite!!! The zincite crystals have wildly intense
orange-red color and very gemmy clarity that can only be fully appreciated in person!!! Crystals of zincite are very rare and highly sought after!!!
This specimen is much more crystallized than it even appears in the pictures!!! The hodgkinsonite has a handsome pink color that provides an aesthetic
compliment to the zincite!!! Upon close inspection, the hodgkinsonite appears to have some possible crystalline faces in some small areas!!! Curiously there is a
small white area on one of the sharp faces of the zincite crystal - this is a small recess on the crystal itself that hosts a tiny area of a very white
unknown mineral (appears to fluoresce a slighty peachy color)!!! There are a number of additional exciting features to this specimen, bottom line - it is way
better than the pics show!!! Absolutely stunning in person!!!
