Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of crystalline zincite from Franklin!!! This specimen consists of a rich showing of intensely colored zincite in association
with fibrous sussexite!!! While massive examples of zincite are relatively common at Franklin, zincite crystals are very rare and highly sought after by collectors!!!
This specimen hosts hosts several significant areas of crystalline zincite!!! The crystal faces are sharp and prominent!!! There are some highly complex and
unusual crystals as well as a result of contact with the fibrous sussexite!!! The color and clarity of the zincite is much better than the pics show!!!
This specimen
retains an old label from Walter Kuenstler (1887-1969) who was a former vice president of the New York Mineralogical Club (1942)!!! The crystallization
is more significant than the pictures show!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated - the pics hardly do it justice!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
