Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of this rare species from a seldom referenced locale!!! This is old material and these old Silver City zunyites are very scarce indeed!!! This specimen is comprised of a very dense distribution of sharp, lustrous, pyramid-shaped crystals scattered throughout a very hard, iron rich matrix!!! This specimen is quite likely mostly zunyite by weight!!! The specimen is very sparkly and lively in person and is actually quite handsome in comparison to these photos!!! This specimen retains an old unattributed label as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! And, as is common with this species the crystals are fluorescent, however the crystals fluoresce yellow instead of red like those from Arizona!!!
